Print Quality Issues

Twist the orange protective cap of the new toner cartridge counterclockwise to remove it.

There is a protective paper band that needs to be removed prior to installation.  Make sure this has been removed.

Make sure that the cartridge is fully locked into the printer.  Locking the cartridge releases the toner into the drum reservoir.

Lines, streaking, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The drum unit is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item.

Not Fitting

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.  Check to make sure the protective cap was removed.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions or debris which may be stopping the cartridge from being installed.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
