THIS IS A TONER THAT HAS THE OPC DRUM BUILT INTO THE CARTRIDGE ITSELF AND IS REPLACED AS ONE WHOLE UNIT. THERE IS NO SEPARATE DRUM UNIT.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
There’s no smart chip on this cartridge. Instead the cartridge hits an actuator inside the printer when installed to let the printer know that a cartridge is inserted. Make sure that the cartridge is installed correctly and fully inserted into the printer.
Print Quality Issues
There’s a pull tape seal on the side of the cartridge that must be removed prior to installation. Ensure that the pull tape was fully removed from the cartridge.
The OPC drum is located on the back of the cartridge protected by a spring loaded plastic cover. Pull the spring loaded plastic cover up to view the OPC drum. Do NOT touch the drum. Visually check for damage or debris. A clean, dry, soft, lint-free cloth can be used to gently wipe the OPC drum. Do NOT use moisture of any kind.
Holding the cartridge by its ends, gently rock the cartridge back and forth a few times to ensure the toner powder is evenly distributed inside the cartridge.
