THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT CONTAIN THE DRUM UNIT.  THE IMAGING DRUM IS SEPARATE FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.

 

Not Recognizing

 

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.

 

Make sure the cartridge is installed correctly and is fully inserted into the printer.

 

To remove and install the toner cartridge into a Toshiba E-Studio 600 machine do the following;

–          Insert your fingers in the access on the front and open the toner cover.

 

–          Pull the toner cartridge holder toward you.

 

–          Take out the toner cartridge.

 

–          Install the new toner cartridge into the toner cartridge holder.  If you cannot insert the toner cartridge completely, rotate it slightly to check the position and insert again.  Match the toner shutter with the orange label in the machine.

 

–          Return the toner cartridge holder to its original position.

 

–          Close the toner cover.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

There is a seal tape covering the toner shutter which must be removed prior to installation.

 

Gently shake the toner cartridge from side to side to loosen the toner powder inside.  Sometimes, the toner can become compacted inside the cartridge.

 

Lines, streaking, ghosting, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The imaging drum is separate from the toner cartridge.

 

Not Fitting

 

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specifc printer model.  Make sure the tape seal has been removed from the cartridge.  Verify they cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
