THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT CONTAIN THE DRUM UNIT.  THE IMAGING DRUM IS SEPARATE FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.

 

Not Recognizing

 

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.

 

Make sure the cartridge is installed correctly and is fully inserted into the printer.

 

To remove and install the toner cartridge into a Toshiba E-Studio 203L machine do the following;

–          Open the front cover.

 

–          Remove the toner by pushing the release lever down and gently pulling the toner cartridge out of the printer.

 

–          Push the new toner cartridge into the printer and make sure it fully seats.  Then push down the release lever to lock it into position.

 

–          Close the front cover.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

There is a seal tape covering the toner shutter which must be removed prior to installation.

 

Gently shake the toner cartridge from side to side to loosen the toner powder inside.  Sometimes, the toner can become compacted inside the cartridge.

 

Lines, streaking, ghosting, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The imaging drum is separate from the toner cartridge.

 

Not Fitting

 

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specifc printer model.  Make sure the tape seal has been removed from the cartridge.  Verify they cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
