THIS IS AN INK CARTRIDGE WITH THE PRINT HEAD INTEGRATED.
Not Recognizing
Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific model printer.
Using a coffee filter or a lint-free cloth gently wipe the gold/copper connection points found on the side of the cartridge. Sometimes if dried ink, finger print oil, or some of the tape residue stays on the contacts it can cause the cartridge not to recognize.
Make sure the cartridge is installed properly and is fully inserted into the machine.
To remove and install this cartridge into the Neopost IJ80/IJ90/IJ110 machine do the following;
– Open the top cover and cartridge cover. The cartridge will move to the “replacement” position.
– Press on the front of the cartridge in order to remove it.
– Remove it.
– Insert the cartridge.
– Close the cartridge cover and top cover.
Print Quality Issues
The print heads are located on the bottom of the cartridge. Do NOT touch the print heads with your fingers. Make sure nothing is stuck to the print heads which may be stopping the ink from coming out properly.
Take a warm damp paper towel or coffee filter and blot the cartridge with the print head facing down onto the paper towel to remove the dried ink on the print head. Then, taking a DRY paper towel or coffee filter, hold the cartridge down against the paper towel for 2-3 minutes. A dry paper towel will wick the ink out. Do not wipe the print head as this may cause damage.

– Press the MENU key.
– Select CLEAN to begin the cleaning cycle.
Not Fitting
Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model. Make sure the orange plastic protective clip has been removed from the cartridge. Check inside the printer for any debris which may be obstructing the cartridge from going in properly. Check the cartridge for physical damage.
