THIS IS A TONER THAT HAS THE OPC DRUM BUILT INTO THE CARTRIDGE ITSELF AND IS REPLACED AS ONE WHOLE UNIT. THERE IS NO SEPARATE DRUM UNIT.
*Fuser Cleaning Blade is NOT included with our cartridge anymore. The OEM cartridge does not come with this, we used to provide it as a courtesy. Our supplier no longer provides this fuser cleaning blade.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
This cartridge is used in a very old HP printer. There is no smart chip on this cartridge so it’s key that the cartridge is installed correctly into the printer and is fully inserted. The printer will not give a warning when the toner is low. Instead, HP recommends replacing the toner cartridge if the cartridge is printing lightly or poorly and shaking doesn’t improve the quality.
This cartridge does come with a new fuser cleaning pad to install into the printer. You will need to open the green fusing assembly cover inside their printer, remove the old cleaning pad by pulling it up, clean their fuser roller using the included Q-tip, and then install the new pad by pushing it down.
Print Quality Issues
Redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge by holding the cartridge by its center and rolling it left to right a few times.
There is a pull tape seal on the side of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation. It is important that this pull tape seal is fully removed. If the cartridge is printing blank pages then the pull tape seal probably hasn’t been removed or has broken off inside the cartridge while being removed.
The OPC drum is located on the bottom of the cartridge protected by a spring loaded plastic shutter. Lift the plastic shutter to view the OPC drum. Do NOT touch the drum. Visually inspect the OPC drum for damage or debris. A soft, clean, dry, lint-free cloth can be used to gently wipe the OPC drum.
