Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
There is no smart chip on this toner cartridge. Verify that the toner was installed properly and is fully inserted into the copier.
To remove and install the toner bottle into a Konica Minolta Bizhub 200, 250, and 350 do the following;
– Open the printer’s front door. Pull the toner hopper out toward you as far as possible.
– While pulling on the handle, flip up the toner bottle holder.
– Carefully pull out the used toner bottle.
– Insert the new toner bottle into the toner hopper with the seal tape on the bottle facing up.
– Flip down the toner bottle holder so that it locks into place. Grab the pull tape seal on the toner bottle, and then slowly pull it off toward you.
– Insert the toner hopper until it snaps into place.
– Close the front door.
Print Quality Issues
There’s a pull tape seal on the toner cartridge that will need to be removed once the toner is inserted into the copier. Do NOT remove this seal tape while the cartridge is out of the copier as toner may leak from the cartridge.
If the pull tape seal has been removed, cover the toner hole on the cartridge with a paper towel. Hit one end of the toner bottle against a hard surface, such as a desk or table, four or five times. Then, shake the toner bottle up and down four or five times. The toner within the toner bottle may have become compacted and need loosening up so it feeds into the printer properly.
Lines, streaking, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues. The drum unit is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model. Check to make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation. Check inside the printer for any obstructions or debris which may be stopping the cartridge from being installed. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
