INK TANK – The print heads are NOT integrated into the cartridges. Do NOT perform the paper towel method.
Not Recognizing
Verify they have the correct cartridges for their specific printer model.
There is a smart chip located on the end of the cartridge. Try removing the cartridge from the printer, disconnecting the power cord for 10 seconds, reconnect the power cord, and re-try the cartridge.
To remove and install these cartridges into an Epson Business Color B300 printer do the following;
– Open the cartridge cover.
– Move the cartridge lever to the unlocked position.
– Remove the color cartridge you are replacing. Make note of the locations of each color cartridge. Labels in the printer and labels on the cartridges will also determine the color and location.
– Make sure you are installing the correct color into the correct slot. While holding the printer, hold the ink cartridge with the arrow mark facing up and point to the rear of the printer and then insert it into the slot. Make sure the cartridge firmly seats.
– Move the cartridge lever to the locked position.
– Close the cartridge cover.
Print Quality Issues
Using a paper towel to cover the vent hole and ink nozzle shake the cartridge for 5 seconds to reblend the liquid ink inside. If the cartridge sits unmoved for long periods of time the ink components can settle in the liquid ink and cause clogging.
For any print quality issues a print nozzle cleaning should be performed. To perform the nozzle cleaning on the Epson Business Color B300 do the following;
– Make sure plain white copy paper is installed.
– Make sure the READY appears on the LCD screen, and then press the ► button. Menu appears on the LCD screen.
– Press the ▼ or ▲ button to select MAINTENANCE, and then press the OK or ► button.
– Press the ▼ or ▲ button to select CLEANING, and then press the OK or ► button.
– Press the OK button to start cleaning. The power light will flash.
– When the power light stops flashing, the printer returns to the nozzle check menu. Press the OK button to print a nozzle check pattern to confirm that the print quality issue has been resolved.
If the print quality issue still hasn’t been resolved try running a second cleaning. However, let the printer sit for 15 minutes before attempting to print anything after the cleaning to allow the ink to soak on the printhead and help loosen any contaminents. Cleaning does consume ink so it should be done sparingly.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer model. Make sure the correct color is being installed into the correct slot. Check inside the printer for any obstructions. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage. Make sure the cartridge is being inserted in the correct orientation, the print nozzle should be facing the printer when inserting.
