THESE TONER CARTRIDGES DO NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM INTEGRATED. THE DRUM UNIT IS A SEPARATE, REPLACEABLE, MAINTENANCE ITEM.
There are 4 colors in this series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.
These are compatible cartridges so their appearance may differ greatly from the OEM. They will still work and their appearance differences will have no effect on their performance.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
This cartridge uses a RF or radio frequency sensor chip that’s located near the colored cap of the cartridge. This chip does not make physical contact with the printer but rather sits in a specific position to be picked up by the printer’s sensor. Make sure that the cartridge is properly inserted and locks into place to ensure the chip is in the correct position. If the problem persists it is most likely an issue with the chip on the cartridge.
To remove and install these toner cartridges into a Magicolor 3300 do the following;
– Remove the top cover.
– Gently rotate the toner lever of the color being replaced to the unlocked (backward) position.
– Remove the toner cartridge. Make note of the color slot location. Each color slot is labeled inside the printer.
– Align the new toner cartridge with the cartridge guides. Make sure you are installing the correct color into the correct color slot. Gently push the cartridge into the printer.
– Gently rotate the toner levers to the locked (forward) position. This will lock the cartridge into place.
– Pull the toner seal tape straight up. This will release the toner powder.
– Close the top cover.
Print Quality Issues
There is a tape seal on the toner cartridge which must be removed AFTER the cartridge has been installed. If the cartridge color isn’t printing then the pull tape seal probably has not been removed or the cartridge is not properly locked into the printer.
Holding the cartridge with both hands, gently shake it 7 or 8 times to distribute the toner.
Almost all ghost imaging, streaking, lines, or repetitive image defects will be an issue with the drum unit. There is one drum unit that handles all the colors that will need to be replaced over time as part of routine maintenance.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer model. Make sure that the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot. Check inside the printer for any obstructions which may be preventing the cartridge from installing. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
