THIS IS A TONER THAT HAS THE OPC DRUM BUILT INTO THE CARTRIDGE ITSELF AND IS REPLACED AS ONE WHOLE UNIT. THERE IS NO SEPARATE DRUM UNIT.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
This cartridge does not have a smart chip. Verify that the cartridge is properly installed into the printer and that the cartridge is fully inserted.
To install this toner cartridge into a Xerox Phaser N2125 Series printer do the following;
– Pull the handle and open the front printer cover.
– Slowly lift up and pull out the used toner cartridge.
– Lower the new toner cartridge into the printering inserting the cartridge’s two projecting part into the printer’s guide channels.
– Slowly close the front cover. Press the center part of the top cover until it latches into place.
Print Quality Issues
There is a pull tape seal on the side of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation. It is important that this pull tape seal is completely removed. If the cartridge is printing blank pages then the pull tape seal probably hasn’t been removed or has broken off inside the cartridge while being removed.
Gently shake the cartridge to redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.
If the toner is smearing off the paper or isn’t adhering properly, make sure the paper settings on the printer match the paper type being used. Thicker paper, such as labels or bonded paper, require a different paper setting to allow more heating while printing to ensure the toner melts properly to the paper. Trying to print on thicker paper while under that standard paper setting will cause the toner not to get enough heat to melt properly.
The OPC drum is located on the bottom of the cartridge protected by a spring loaded plastic shutter. Lift the shutter to view the OPC drum. Do NOT touch the drum. Visually inspect the OPC drum for damage or debris. A soft, clean, dry, lint-free cloth can be used to gently wipe the OPC drum if needed. Do NOT use moisture of any kind.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model. Check inside the printer for any debris or obstructions which may be interfering with the cartridge fitting. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
