THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE INTEGRATED DRUM UNIT. THE DRUM IS A SEPARATE UNIT FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.
This toner cartridge comes with a new waste toner box that must be replaced at the same time as the toner cartridge.
This is a compatible cartridge so there will be some differences between this cartridge and the OEM. These differences will not affect the function.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
There is no smart chip on this toner cartridge. The toner counter on the printer must be MANUALLY reset when a new toner cartridge is installed or the printer will continue to say the cartridge is low or needing replacing.

The printer parts must be cleaned when replacing the toner cartridge. Failure to clean these parts may result in print quality issues. To clean the charger wire on an FS-3820N do the following;
– Open the left cover on the left side of the printer.
– Pull the cleaning knob (blue colored) slowly in and out a few times. This cleans the charger wire inside the printer.
The charger grid is a part located at the bottom of the charger unit, which also needs to be cleaned. A grid cleaner is provided with our compatible cartridge to clean the charger grid. To clean the charger grid on an FS-3820N do the following;
– Take the grid cleaner from the protective bag and remove the cap.
– The grid cleaner pad that is supplied is moist so the cleaning needs to be performed before the pad dries. Pull out the charger unit approx. 2 inches.
– Attach the grid cleaner to the printer with the pad at the top.
– Making sure that the charger roller does not come into contact with the grid cleaner pad, repeat a few times the action of slowly pulling out and pushing back in the charger unit. This cleans the grid part underneath the charger unit.
– Remove the grid cleaner from the printer and dispose of it. The grid cleaner is not re-usable.
– After cleaning the charger wire and grid, push the carger unit all the way in and close the left cover.
The last part that is required to be cleaned when replacing the toner cartridge is the paper transfer unit. To clean this do the following;
– While pulling the paper transfer unit release lever (green colored), pull out the paper transfer unit.
– Wipe away the paper dust on the registration roller and the paper ramp using the wiper cloth that is provided with our compatible toner cartridge.
Print Quality Issues
Make sure the above cleaning steps were completed when the new toner cartridge was installed.
There’s an orange paper cover on the toner cartridge which must be replace prior to installation.
Gently shake and roll the toner cartridge a few times to loosen and redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.
Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues. The drum unit is separate from the toner cartridge.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model. Check to make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation. Check the inside of the printer for any obstructions that may be causing the cartridge not to fit properly. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
