THIS IS A TONER THAT HAS THE OPC DRUM BUILT INTO THE CARTRIDGE ITSELF AND IS REPLACED AS ONE WHOLE UNIT.  THERE IS NO SEPARATE DRUM UNIT.

Print Quality Issues

There is a pull tape seal on the side of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation.  It is important that this pull tape seal is completely removed.  If the cartridge is printing blank pages then the pull tape seal probably hasn’t been removed or has broken off inside the cartridge while being removed.

Gently shake the cartridge to redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.

The OPC drum is located on the front of the cartridge protected by a spring loaded plastic shutter.  Lift the shutter to view the OPC drum.  Do NOT touch the drum.  Visually inspect the OPC drum for damage or debris.  A soft, clean, dry, lint-free cloth can be used to gently wipe the OPC drum if needed.  Do NOT use moisture of any kind.

If the toner is smearing or smudging off the pages you may need to change the paper type setting on the printer to a thicker paper setting.  The paper you are using may be too thick for the current setting or the setting just needs to be adjusted to match the fusing temperature of the toner.

Not Fitting

Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.  Check inside the printer for any debris or obstructions which may be interfering with the cartridge fitting.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
