THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE THE IMAGING DRUM INTEGRATED. THE DRUM UNIT IS A SEPARATE, REPLACEABLE, MAINTENACE ITEM.
Not Recognizing
Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific model printer.
There is a smart chip located on the back of the toner cartridge. Check the chip for damage or debris. A Q-tip can be used to gently clean the small wire contacts on the chip.
Make sure the cartridge is installed correctly and is fully inserted into the printer.
To remove and install this cartridge in a Samsung SCX-6320 do the following;

– Open the front cover.
– Turn the cartridge locking lever upwards to release the toner cartridge.
– Pull the toner cartridge out.
– Slide the new toner cartridge into the machine aligning the cartridge to the left of the slot until it locks into place completely.
– Turn the cartridge locking lever downwards until it locks into place.
– Close the front cover (1) and then the side cover (2).
Print Quality Issues
There is a protective piece of paper with foam held on by tape that must be removed prior to installation.
There’s a rubber roller on the front of the cartridge which dispenses the toner powder. You can check the rubber roller for cracks or damage. Do NOT touch the rubber roller and do NOT clean off the rubber roller.
Holding the cartridge by its ends, rock the cartridge back and forth a few times to evenly distribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.
If the scanning unit becomes dirty, it can alter the shading value. If your print has black lines or is blurred, adjust the shading settings. To do this do the following;
– Load a sheet of white paper on the scan glass.
– Press MENU until “Sys. Admin Tools’ displays on the top line. Or, press MENU and 0 using the number keypad to display “Sys. Admin Tools”.
– Press the scroll buttons until “Maintenance” displays on the bottom line and then press ENTER.
– Press the scroll buttons until “Adjust Shading” displays on the bottom line and then press ENTER.
– You are asked to confirm the selection. Select “YES”.
– To return to the stand by mode, press STOP/CLEAR.
If the toner is smearing off the paper or isn’t adhering properly, make sure the paper settings on the printer match the paper type being used. Thicker paper, such as labels or bonded paper, require a different paper setting to allow more heating while printing to ensure the toner melts properly to the paper. Trying to print on thicker paper while under that standard paper setting will cause the toner not to get enough heat to melt properly.
Almost all streaking, line, repeating image defects, and ghost images are drum related issues. The drum unit is a separate, replaceable, maitenance item that will need to be replace after a certain period of usage as part of the routine maintenance of the machine.
Leaking
This toner does not have any pull seal tabs and as a result a little toner dust on the cartridge is normal. Vibrations during shipping may cause the roller to rotate a little and allow a little toner powder to leak. This is normal. You can clean excess toner dust off the cartridge by gently wiping the cartridge with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth or gently blowing on it. Be careful with compressed air as this may blow too powerfully and blow toner powder out of the cartridge. Do NOT wipe down or blow air onto the rubber roller on the front of the cartridge.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model. Make sure the bubble wrap and protective paper have been removed from the cartridge. Check inside the printer for any obstructions. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
