THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT CONTAIN THE DRUM UNIT.  THE IMAGING DRUM IS SEPARATE FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.

 

Not Recognizing

 

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.

 

Make sure the cartridge is installed correctly and is fully inserted into the printer.

 

To remove and install the toner cartridge into a Bizhub 423 Series machine do the following;

–          Open the front cover.

 

–          Open the cover to the toner cartridge drawer.

–          Pull out the toner cartridge drawer.

 

–          Lift up the toner cartridge, then pull it up and out of the cartridge drawer.

 

–          Insert the new toner cartridge at an angle and then push it down into the cartridge drawer.

 

–          Pull out the pull tape seal then close the toner cartridge drawer.

 

–          Close the cartridge drawer cover and close the front cover.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

There is a pull tape seal that must be removed.  You will want to remove the pull tape seal while the cartridge is installed into the cartridge drawer to prevent toner leakage.

 

Gently shake the toner cartridge from side to side to loosen the toner powder inside.  Sometimes, the toner can become compacted inside the cartridge.  Be careful of toner leakage.

 

Lines, streaking, ghosting, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The imaging drum is separate from the toner cartridge.

 

Not Fitting

 

Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specifc printer model.  Make sure the tape seal has been removed from the cartridge.  Verify they cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
