Print Quality Issues

There is a white plastic protective cover on the front of the cartridge which must be removed from the cartridge prior to installation.

Shake the cartridge horizontally 4 or 5 times to redistribute the toner inside the cartridge.

The toner is dipensed from the cartridge to the drum unit using a rubber roller located on the front of the cartridge.  You can check this rubber roller for damage or debris.  Do NOT touch the rubber roller.  Do NOT use moisture of any kind on the toner cartridge.

Lines, streaking, ghosting, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The drum unit is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item and will need to be replaced after a period of usage.  Usually after 4-6 toner changes.

Not Fitting

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.  Make sure the white plastic protective clip has been removed.  Make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
