This is sold as a 2 pack so you get 2 toner bottles and 2 waste toner bags.

THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM INTEGRATED.  THE DRUM UNIT IS A SEPARATE.

This is not a toner cartridge that installs into the printer.  Instead it simply re-fills the toner box inside the printer with toner powder and then is discarded.

 

Not Recognizing

 

Verify you have the correct toner bottle for your specific printer model.

 

The toner is electrically sensed inside the toner hopper of the printer.  The refill toner bottle has no electronics of any kind and simply refills the toner power into the toner hopper of the printer.  Make sure all the toner was poured out of the toner bottle when refilling the toner hopper.

 

To add toner to the Oce TDS400 do the following;

–          Turn off the printer.

–          Unscrew the knurled nut at the left hand side of the printer and open the left cover.

 

–          Remove the white cap from the bottle.  Handle the bottle with caution once the cap is removed as toner spillage may occur.  Screw in the toner bottle clockwise in a slanted position.

 

–          Move the toner bottle to a vertical position.

 

–          Lightly tap the toner out of the bottle.  Make sure the bottle is completely emptied.

–          When the toner bottle is empty, return the bottle to the original position.

–          Unscrew the toner bottle counter-clockwise and safely dispose of the empty bottle.

 

IMPORTANT:  The waste toner bag must be replaced when new toner is added.  To replace the waste toner bag, do the following;

–          Pull the waste toner bag from the holder and place the cap provided on the bag.

 

–          Slide a new waste toner bag over the holder.

–          Close the cover and tighten the knurled nut.

–          Turn on the printer.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

All print quality issues are going to be printer related.  The toner bottle simply adds toner to the printer and does not permanently install into the printer.

 

For common print quality issues on the Oce printer, cleaning the glass platen can resolve some issues.  To clean the glass platen, do the following;

–          Switch the scanner off.

–          Unlock the top cover by pushing the front side of the cover down and pulling it towards you.

–          Raise the cover.

Gently clean the glass platen and the white pressure platen with a soft, lint-free, dry, cloth.

 

–          Lower the top cover.
