***IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ***
These may have a yellow sticker saying they do not work on the Officejet 7610 or 7612. THEY WILL WORK! This was an error by our supplier. They meant to put the European market’s 7510 and 7512. These cartridges will work with all US printers that use these cartridges.
INK TANK – The print heads are not integrated into the cartridge, do NOT perform the paper towel method.
These are remanufactured cartridges.
There are 4 cartridges in this series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. The black is physically thicker than the color cartridges.
Not Recognizing
There is a smart chip located on the front of the cartridge. Inspect the chip for damage or debris. A lint-cloth can be used to gently clean the four gold contact points.
This cartridge should display the proper ink levels. Try removing and re-installing the cartridge if the ink level is not reading properly. You can also try resetting your printer by disconnecting the power cord for 10-15 seconds.
Verify you have the correct color cartridge installed into the correct color slot.
IMPORTANT: It’s normal for a message to pop up and say that non-genuine HP cartridges are not installed. This should not stop the cartridges from being used or the ink level from reading as full on a first time installed cartridge.
To remove and install these cartridges into a HP Officejet 6100 printer do the following;
NOTE: For specific instructions on a particular printer model that also uses these cartridges please view the User’s Guide for the printer available on HP’s website.
– Press the front of the color ink cartridge you are removing to release it. Then, remove it from the slot.
– Make sure you have the correct color cartridge for the color being replaced.
– Insert the cartridge into the correct color slot.
– Push the cartridge firmly until it clicks into place. The printer is puncturing the plastic film covering the nozzle as you are pushing the cartridge in so there may be a little resistance.
– Close the printer cover.

Print Quality Issues
There is a tape seal on the top of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation. This opens a vent hole that allows the ink to evacuate the cartridge properly.
To help diagnose print quality issues there’s a print quality report that can printed on the printer. To print this print quality report, do the following;
– Press and hold the power button. While still holding the power button, press the Cancel (X) button 7 times then press the Resume button 2 times. Release the power button.
Review the Print Quality Diagnostics page. If the lines are not straight then the printheads need to be realigned. If there are white lines in the colored blocks, then the printheads need to be cleaned.
If your printed output is streaked or has any incorrect or missing colors, the printhead should be cleaned. To clean the printhead do the following;
– On the printer control panel, press and hold the power button.
– While holding down the power button, press the Cancel (X) button 2 times and then press the Resume button once.
– Release the power button.
A second cleaning may be required to fully resolve a print quality issue. If the problem still isn’t resolved after 2 cleanings run a third cleaning but allow the printer to sit for 10-15 minutes before attempting to print. This allows the ink to soak on the printhead. Printhead cleanings should be done sparingly as they do consume ink.
Make sure that the plastic film covering the ink nozzle on the cartridge has been punctured. This plastic film is punctured when the cartridge is first pushed into the printer.
The printhead is a replaceable, maintenance item and will need to be replaced after a certain period of usage. If cartridge changes and cleanings do not resolve the print quality issues then the printhead may need replacing.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer model.
Make sure that any protective clips or pieces of tape have been removed. Check inside the printer for any obstructions. Check the cartridge itself for any physical damage.
