These cartridges do not have the drum unit integrated.  the drum is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item.

There are 4 colors in this cartridge series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

 

Not Recognizing

 

Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific model printer.

 

There is a smart chip located on the bottom of the cartridge.  Check the chip for damage or debris.  A lint-free cloth can be used to gently clean the gold contacts.

 

To remove and install these toner cartridges into a Samsung CLP-350n printer do the following;

–          Open the front cover.

 

–          Holding the handle on the color toner cartridge being replaced, rotate it counter-clockwise, and pull it out to remove it from the printer.  Make sure to take note of the different locations of the colors.

 

–          Make sure you have the correct color cartridge for the color being replaced.  Grasp the toner cartridge and align it with the correct slot in the printer.  Insert it back into the correct color slot until it clicks into place, and then rotate the toner cartridge clockwise.

 

–          Close the front cover.  Make sure that the cover is securely closed.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

There’s a protective cap on the bottom of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation.

 

Shake the toner cartridge from side to side to redistribute the toner.

 

Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The drum is a separate, replaceable maintenance item and will need to be replaced after a certain period of usage.

 

Not Fitting

 

Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer model.  Make sure the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot.  Make sure the protective cap was removed from the cartridge.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
