THESE TONER CARTRIDGES DO NOT HAVE AN INTEGRATED DRUM UNIT. THE DRUM IS A SEPARATE UNIT FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGES.
There are 4 colors in this series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.
This is a compatible cartridge so there will be differences from the OEM cartridge. These differences will not affect the function of the cartridge.
Not Recognizing
Verify they have the correct cartridges for their specific printer model.
This cartridge uses a RF or radio frequency sensor chip located on the top of the toner cartridge. This chip does not make physical contact with the printer but rather sits in a specific position to be picked up by the printer’s sensor. Make sure that the cartridge is properly inserted and locks into place to ensure the chip is in the correct position. If the problem persists it is most likely an issue with the chip on the cartridge.
To install the toner cartridges into a Xerox WorkCentre 7655/7665/7675 do the following;
– Open the toner cover, located just above the machine’s front door.
– Lay paper on the floor before removing the cartridge. This will allow any excess toner to fall on the paper. Hold the handle of the color cartridge you are replacing, and gently pull it out.
– Remove the toner cartridge by holding the handle on the top of the cartridge while gently pulling it straight out. Be careful to not get toner onto your clothing.
– Make sure you have the correct color cartridge for the color being replaced. Install the toner cartridge by aligning the arrows on the cartridge evenly with the printer until you hear a click.
– Close the front door. If the door will not close completely, make sure the cartridge is in the lock position and the toner cartridge is installed into the appropriate toner color location.
Print Quality Issues
There is a black pull tape seal that must be removed from the toner shutter located on the bottom of the cartridge. Make sure this pull tape seal has been removed.
Try rocking the cartridge gently 4 times to redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.
Make sure the toner cartridge is fully inserted into the printer. Try pulling it out then pushing back in completely. When the toner cartridge is pushed into the printer it opens the toner shutter on the cartridge which releases the toner powder into the drum reservoir.
Ghosting, lines, streaking, and repeating image defects will be an issue with the drum unit. There is a separate drum unit for each color and the drums are replaceable, maintenance items. The drums will need to be replaced after a certain period of usage.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer model. Be sure that the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot. Check that the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation. Look inside the printer for any obstructions. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
