These cartridges do not have the drum unit integrated.  the drum is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item.

There are 4 colors in this cartridge series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

 

Not Recognizing

 

Verify they have the correct cartridges for their specific model printer.

 

There is a smart chip located on the bottom of the cartridge.  Check the chip for damage or debris.  A lint-free cloth can be used to gently clean the gold contacts.

 

To remove and install these toner cartridges into a Samsung CLP-300 printer do the following;

–          Open the front cover.

 

–          Make sure to make note of the different locations of the color cartridges.

 

–          Remove the color cartridge needing replacing by pulling it out of the printer.

 

–          Make sure you have the correct color cartridge for the color being replaced.  Grasp the toner cartridge and align it with the corresponding slot inside the printer.  Insert it into its slot until it clicks into place.

 

–          Close the front cover.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

There’s a protective cap on the bottom of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation.

 

Shake the toner cartridge from side to side to redistribute the toner.

 

Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The drum is a separate, replaceable maintenance item and will need to be replaced after a certain period of usage.

 

Not Fitting

 

Verify they have the correct cartridges for their specific printer model.  Make sure the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot.  Make sure the protective cap was removed from the cartridge.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
