THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE INTEGRATED DRUM UNIT.  THE DRUM IS A SEPARATE UNIT FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.

There are 4 colors in this series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

These are compatible cartridges so there will be some differences between these cartridges and the OEM.  These differences will not affect the function.

Not Recognizing

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.

Make sure the correct color cartridge is being installed into the correct color slot.

Ensure that the cartridge is installed properly and fully inserted into the printer.

Print Quality Issues

For any print quality issue you will want to try to determine if the problem is occurring with a specific color or if it is occurring across the board.  Check printed documents to see if the issue is only occurring where a specific color is.

Try tilting the toner cartridge up and down 10 times.

Twist the protective cap off the toner cartridge.

If streaks appear on the printed output, or random parts of the printed image are missing, the inside of the main unit may be dirty.  In this case, clean the inside of the main unit by doing the following;

–          Press the menu button.

–          Select [Adjustment/Maintenance].

–          Select [Maintenance].

–          Select [Clean Inside Main Unit].

–          Press [Start] to begin the cleaning.

If the dust proof glass is dirty, print defects may occur in the printed material.  To clean the dust proof glass do the following;

–          Open the front cover, holding both sides.

–          Remove the dust proof glass cleaner from the rear side of the front cover by sliding it to the left side.

–          Hold the dust proof glass cleaner so that the pad on the tip is facing down, push it back as far as it goes, and then slowly move it up and down.  Clean the four different locations.  There are marks on the main unit that indicate the cleaning locations.

–          When you have finished cleaning the dust proof glass, gently push the dust proof glass cleaner back onto the rear side of the front cover.

–          Close the front cover of the main unit.

Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The drum is separate from the toner cartridges.

Not Fitting

Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.  Verify the correct color is being installed into the correct slot in the printer.  Make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions which may be causing the cartridge not to install correctly.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
