THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE INTEGRATED DRUM UNIT. THE DRUM IS A SEPARATE UNIT FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.
There are 4 colors in this series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.
These are compatible cartridges so there will be some differences between these cartridges and the OEM. These differences will not affect the function.
Not Recognizing
Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model.
There is a smart chip located on the front of the toner cartridge. Check the smart chip for damage or debris. A clean, dry, lint-free, cloth can be used to gently clean the gold contacts.
These cartridges install into a color laser printer that uses a carousel setup. For more information on carousel printers please see the CSR Blog link below;

To remove and install the cartridge into a Konica Minolta MagiColor 2400 printer do the following;
– Check the control panel to see which color of toner needs replacing. Cyan will be used as an example in these instructions.
– Press the Rotate Toner key. The toner carousel will rotate and a light will light up as the carousel passes each color. When the color you are replacing lights up stop pressing the button.
– Pull the lever, and then open the top cover.
– Check that the toner cartridge to be replaced has been moved to the front, and then open the front cover.
– Pull the handle on the toner cartridge toward you, and then pull the toner cartridge up to remove it.
– Before inserting the toner cartridge, make sure that the color of the toner cartridge to be installed is the same as the label on the toner cartridge carousel. Align the shaft on each end of the toner cartridge with its holders, and then insert the cartridge.
– Press down on the toner cartridge until it snaps into place.
– Close the front cover.
– Close the top cover. When the top cover is closed, the black toner cartridge automatically moves so that it can be replaced. With each press of the Rotate Toner key, the yellow, then magena toner cartridge moves so it can be replaced.
– Press the Cancel key to reset the printer and clear the indicator message.
Print Quality Issues
For any print quality issue you will want to try to determine if the problem is occurring with a specific color or if it is occurring across the board. Check printed documents to see if the issue is only occurring where a specific color is.
There is a yellow protective clip on the front of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation.
These toner cartridges have a rubber roller on the front which distributes the toner poweder to the separate OPC drum. Check this rubber roller for damage or debris. Do NOT touch the rubber roller. Do NOT use moisture of any kind.
Holding both ends of the toner cartridge, shake it side to side a few times to distribute the toner evenly.
If lines are appearing across the entire page then the media feed roller or laser lens may be dirty. To clean these do the following;
– Pull the lever, and then open the top cover.
– Slowly pull out the drum cartridge.
– Clean the media feed rollers by wiping them with a soft, dry, cloth.
– Clean the laser lens by wiping them with a soft, dry, cloth.
– Reinstall the drum unit.
– Close the top cover.
Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues. The drum unit is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item. After a certain period of usage (usually 4-6 toner changes) the drum unit will need to be replaced.
Leaking
This toner does not have any pull seal tabs and as a result a little toner dust on the cartridge is normal. The yellow protective cover that covers the rubber roller helps collect loose toner powder. However, vibrations during shipping may cause the roller to rotate a little and allow a little toner powder to leak. This is normal. You can clean excess toner dust off the cartridge by gently wiping the cartridge with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth or gently blowing on it. Be careful with compressed air as this may blow too powerfully and blow toner powder out of the cartridge. Do NOT use moisture of any kind and do NOT touch the rubber roller.
Not Fitting
Verify they have the correct cartridge for their specific printer model. Verify the correct color is being installed into the correct slot in the printer. Make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation. Check inside the printer for any obstructions which may be causing the cartridge not to install correctly. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
