THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM INTEGRATED.  THE DRUM IS SEPARATE.

There are four colors in this series; Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

These are compatible toner cartridges so there will be some differences from the OEM.  These differences will not affect function.

Not Recognizing

Verify they have the correct cartridges for their specific printer model.

Make sure the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot.

These cartridges have a twist lock on them.  Once installed into the printer you will twist the knob to lock the cartridge into place.  This releases the toner powder into the drum reservoir.

Print Quality Issues

Try shaking the cartridge from left to right and up and down a few times to loosen and redistribute the toner powder.  The toner can become compacted inside the cartridge.

Try to determine if the problem is occurring with just a particular color or if the problem is occurring across all the colors.

Make sure that the cartridge is fully locked into place.  When the lock lever is in the locked position it opens a shutter on the cartridge which releases the toner powder into the printer.  If the cartridge is not fully locked then the toner may not be coming out properly or at all.

The drum unit is a separate unit.  Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects will be image unit related.  The drum unit will need to be replaced after around 70,000 pages at 5% coverage.

Not Fitting

Verify they have the right cartridges for their specific printer model.  Make sure the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
