THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE INTEGRATED DRUM UNIT. THE DRUM IS A SEPARATE UNIT FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.
This is a compatible cartridge so there will be some differences between this cartridge and the OEM. These differences will not affect the function. The toner is compatible as both the TK18 and TK100 toner cartridges.

Not Recognizing
There is no smart chip on this toner cartridge. There is a toner counter which must be MANUALLY reset by the user.
To remove and install this toner cartridge into a Kyocera Mita FS-1118 and FS-1820 printer do the following;
– Open the top cover.
– Open the front cover.
– Lift the drum unit, together with the toner cartridge, out of the printer and place it on a clean, level surface.
– Pull the lock lever towards to the UNLOCK position then pull the otner cartridge release lever to the right. It’s important to remove the toner from the drum unit and re-use the drum unit with the new toner cartridge.
– Remove the toner cartridge and dispose of it properly. Be careful of loose toner leakage.
– Align the knob on the left side of the cartridge with the groove in the drum unit and insert it. Push down on the top of the toner cartridge until it clicks into place.
– Push the lock lever back into its locked position (away from you).
IMPORTANT: Cleaning steps must be completed after the toner cartridge is replaced. It is important that these cleaning steps are done. Failure to complete these steps may result in print quality issues.
– Slide the charger cleaner knob backwards and forwards 2 to 3 times, then return it to the CLEANER HOME POSITION.
– Use a soft, clean, lint-free cloth to clean paper dust and dirt accumulated on the metal registration roller (A) inside the printer. Do NOT touch the black transfer roller (B).
– After cleaning, align the pins (C) on both sides of the drum unit with the guides inside the printer, and carefully slide the drum unit in the printer until it stops.
– Close the front cover.
– Close the top cover.
NOTE: The toner counter MUST be reset after a new toner is installed. If it is not reset then the new toner will continue to read as low or need replacing. To reset the toner counter do the following;
– Press the ▲ or ▼ button until TONER SETTING is displayed and press ENTER.
– Press the ▲ or ▼ to select TONER GAUGE RSET and press ENTER.
– The printer will ask ARE YOU SURE? press the left select.
– The display shows completed.
Print Quality Issues
Make sure the above cleaning steps were completed when the new toner cartridge was installed.
There’s an orange paper cover on the toner cartridge which must be replace prior to installation.
Gently shake the toner cartridge horizontally a few times to loosen and redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.
Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues. The drum unit is separate from the toner cartridge.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model. Check to make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation. Check the inside of the printer for any obstructions that may be causing the cartridge not to fit properly. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
