THIS IS NOT A TONER CARTRIDGE.  IT IS A MAINTENANCE ITEM THAT COLLECTS THE EXCESS TONER FROM NORMAL PRINTING AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED ONCE IT BECOMES FULL.

This is a compatible waste toner box so there will be some differences between this and the OEM, however these differences will not affect function.

 

Not Recognizing

 

There is no smart chip on this waste toner box.  Make sure you are not accidentally installing a previously used waste toner box.  Make sure the error message you are receiving is not referencing a toner cartridge or drum unit.  This is NOT a toner cartridge or drum unit.

 

For removing and installing the waste toner box into a Konica Minolta Bizhub C550 do the following;

–          Open the lower front door.

 

–          Release the securing levers for the waste toner box, and then remove the waste toner box.

 

–          Attached the blue cap we enclose with our compatible waste toner box to the used waste toner box.  This seals the ports to ensure no toner leaks.

 

–          Install the new waste toner box.

 

–          Close the lower front cover.

 

Print Quality Issues

 

The waste toner box has no affect on print quality.  It is NOT a toner cartridge or drum unit, it’s simply a container to hold the excess toner from normal printing for disposal later.

 

Not Fitting

 

Verify you have the correct waste toner box for your printer.  Make sure you weren’t trying to order a toner cartridge or drum unit, this is not a toner cartridge or drum unit.  Check inside the printer for any obstructions.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
