Konica Minolta A070130, A070230, A070330, and A070430
THESE TONER CARTRIDGES DO NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM INTEGRATED. THE DRUM UNIT IS A SEPARATE, REPLACEABLE, MAINTENANCE ITEM.
There are 4 colors in this cartridge series; Black, Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow.
These are compatible cartridges so there will be differences from the OEMs. These differences will not affect the function.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer model.
There is a smart chip located on the inside of the end cap. Check the chip for damage or debris. A clean, dry, lint-free, cloth can be used to gently clean the gold contacts.
To remove and install these toner cartridges into the Konica Minolta Bizhub C550 and C650 machines do the following;
– Open the machine’s upper front door. Check that a toner cartridge of the same color as the one to be replaced has been prepared.
– Pull out the toner cartridge being replaced. Make sure to keep note of the locations of each color.
– Make sure you are inserting the correct color cartridge with the correct color slot. Align the toner cartridge with the slots in the cartridge compartment, and then insert the cartridge. Insert until it fully snaps into place.
– Close the upper front door.
Print Quality Issues
There is a pull tape seal which must be removed from the cartridge prior to installation.
For any print quality issue you will want to try to determine if the problem is occurring with a specific color or if it is occurring across the board. Check printed documents to see if the issue is only occurring where a specific color is.
Try shaking the cartridge up and down 5-10 times to loosen the toner inside. Sometimes the toner powder can become compacted inside the cartridge.
If streaks are appearing across the page the electrostatic charger wire may be dirty. To clean the electrostatic charger wire do the following;
– Open the machine’s lower front door.
– Slowly pull out the charger-cleaning tool as far as possible. Next, slowly push in the charger-cleaning tools as far as possible. Repeat the operation 3 times.
– Securely insert the charger-cleaning tool, and then close the front door.
If print quality looks fuzzy then the print head glass may be dirty. To clean the print head glass do the following;
– Pull out tray 1.
– Remove the print head glass cleaning tool from tray 1.
– Insert the print head glass cleaning tool into the print head cleaning opening, pull it out, and then repeat this back and forth movement 2-3 times.
– Return the cleaning tool back to tray 1 and then re-insert tray 1 into the printer.
Streaking, lines, ghost imaging, and repeating image defects are drum related issues. There is a separate, individual, drum unit for each color. These drum units will need to be replaced after a certain period of usage. If the above cleaning did not resolve the issue then the drum unit for colors exhibiting the issue may need replacing.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific printer. Make sure the correct color is being installed into the correct color slot. Check inside the printer for obstructions. Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
