THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE INTEGRATED DRUM UNIT.  THE DRUM IS A SEPARATE UNIT FROM THE TONER CARTRIDGE.

This toner cartridge comes with a new waste toner box that must be replaced at the same time as the toner cartridge.

This is a compatible cartridge so there will be some differences between this cartridge and the OEM.  These differences will not affect the function.

Not Recognizing

Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.

Make sure that the cartridge is fully seated and locked into the printer.

To remove and install the toner and waste toner box in a KM-1530 printer do the following;

NOTE:  Other printers that use this toner cartridge will be a similar process.  For exact instructions on a specific printer model please refer to the User’s Guide for that printer on Kyocera Mita’s website.

–          Open the front cover.

–          Turn the toner cartridge release lever to the right as far as it will go.  The old cartridge will be unlocked.

–          Pull the old toner cartridge out toward you.

–          Fit the new toner cartridge into the printer.  Align the arrow on the top of the toner cartridge with the cutout in the printer and then insert the cartridge into the printer.

–          Turn the toner cartridge release lever to the left as far as it will go.  The new toner cartridge is now locked.  Verify that it is fully locked.

While the cover is open the waste toner tank will need to be replaced.  We include a new waster toner tank with our compatible cartridge.  To remove and install the waste toner tank in the KM-1530 printer do the following;

–          While holding the waste toner tank release lever (1) up, remove the waste toner tank.

–          While holding the waste toner tank release lever up, fit the new waste toner tank into the printer.

–          Gently pull the cleaning shaft as far as it will go and then push it back in.

–          Close the front cover.

Print Quality Issues

Tap on the toner cartridge on the top 5 or 6 times and shake it from side to side 8 to 10 times.

Streaking, lines, ghost images, and repeating image defects are drum related issues.  The drum unit is separate from the toner cartridge.

Not Fitting

Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.  Check to make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct orientation.  Check the inside of the printer for any obstructions that may be causing the cartridge not to fit properly.  Check the cartridge itself for physical damage.
