DO NOT RESHIP
THIS IS A TONER THAT HAS THE OPC DRUM BUILT INTO THE CARTRIDGE ITSELF AND IS REPLACED AS ONE WHOLE UNIT. THERE IS NO SEPARATE DRUM UNIT.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model.
This toner cartridge does not use a smart chip. Verify the cartridge is installed correctly and is fully inserted. Panasonic recommends replacing the toner cartridge when the prints are light and shaking has no affect.
To remove and install this toner into a Panasonic Panafax UF-744 and UF-788 do the following;
– Pull the release lever to open the printer cover.
– Remove the old toner cartridge by pulling it out of the printer using the two handles on the cartridge.
– Align the arrow and the projections on both sides of the new toner cartridge and insert the toner cartridge into the printer.
– Close the front printer cover.
Print Quality Issues
There is a pull tape seal on the side of the cartridge which must be removed prior to installation. It is important that this pull tape seal is fully removed. If the cartridge is printing blank pages or printed 2-3 pages and now prints blank then the pull tape seal hasn’t been removed or has broken off inside the cartridge while being removed.
Rock the toner cartridge 5 or 6 times to redistribute the toner inside.
The OPC drum is located on the front of the cartridge protected by a spring loaded plastic shutter. Lift the shutter to visually inspect the OPC drum for damage or debris. Do NOT touch the drum. A soft, clean, dry, lint-free cloth can be used to gently clean the OPC drum if needed. Do NOT use moisture of any kind.
Not Fitting
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific printer model. Make sure the cartridge is being installed in the correct direction. Check inside the printer for any obstructions that may be interfering with the installation of the toner cartridge. Check the toner cartridge itself for physical damage. Verify that the pull tape seal has been removed from the side of the cartridge.
