THIS CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM UNIT INTEGRATED. THERE IS A SEPERATE DRUM UNIT WHICH IS A REPLACEABLE MAINTENANCE ITEM.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct drum unit for your specific model printer.
This cartridge uses a RF or radio frequency sensor chip that’s located on the bottom front of the cartridge. This chip does not make physical contact with the printer but rather sits in a specific position to be picked up by the printer’s sensor. Make sure that the cartridge is properly inserted and locks into place to ensure the chip is in the correct position. There is a lock lever on the cartridge which must be turned to the left until it clicks. If the problem persists it is most likely an issue with the chip on the cartridge.
Print Quality Issues
Almost all ghosting, streaking, lines, and repeating image defects will be an issue with the drum unit which is separate, replaceable, maintenance item. The drum unit will need to be replaced usually after 4-6 toner changes.
If the prints are coming out light make sure that the lock lever on the cartridge is fully turned to the left. The lock lever opens a shutter on the cartridge, releasing the toner powder.
Holding the cartridge by its ends, roll the cartridge 5-6 times to redistribute the toner powder inside the cartridge.
