Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific model printer.

There is no smart chip on these cartridges.  Instead there is a flag gear that when installed triggers an actuator inside the printer to reset the page count.  After a certain amount of pages are counted the printer will display the low toner message.

Verify that the cartridge is installed correctly and fully inserted.  Once they have the toner in place they need push down firmly on top of the cartridge to make sure it clicks into place.

There is also a waste toner bottle that is included with the toner cartridge that will need to be installed into the printer.  They will need to remove their old waste toner bottle and replace it with the provided new bottle when they install the toner cartridge.

It is necessary to clean the inside of the printer after replacing the toner container. If the toner container is replaced when Replace toner Clean printer is displayed, Clean printer Press GO will appear after replacement. After cleaning the inside of the printer the message will disappear when the GO key is pressed, and the printer will be ready for printing.

Print Quality Issues

Almost all ghosting, streaking, lines, or repetitive image defect problems will be an issue with the drum.  The drum unit is a separate, replaceable, maintenance item that will usually need to be changed after 4-6 toner changes.  We do not currently carry replacement drum units.

There is a protective paper seal that must be removed prior to installation.  Make sure this was fully removed.
