THIS TONER CARTRIDGE DOES NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM INTEGRATED. THE DRUM UNIT IS A SEPARATE, REPLACEABLE, MAINTENANCE ITEM.
Not Recognizing
Verify you have the correct cartridge for your specific model printer.
This cartridge uses a RF or radio frequency sensor chip that’s located on the bottom of the cartridge. This chip does not make physical contact with the printer but rather sits in a specific position to be picked up by the printer’s sensor. Make sure that the cartridge is properly inserted and locks into place to ensure the chip is in the correct position. If the problem persists it is most likely an issue with the chip on the cartridge.
The toner cartridge comes with a new waste toner bottle to replace the old one. To install the waste toner bottle you will need to open the panel on the left side of the printer, open the cap on the new waste toner bottle, remove the old waste toner bottle from the printer, and insert the new waste toner bottle until it snaps into place.
Print Quality Issues
There is a piece of paper which must be removed prior to installation. You will also want to hold the cartridge by its ends and gently shake it a few times to redistribute the toner powder.
Ghosting, lines, streaking, and repeating image defects are usually issues with the drum unit which is separate from the cartridge.
