These are also Dell 5110 cartridges and Xerox Phaser 6300/6350/6360 cartridges

THESE CARTRIDGES DO NOT HAVE THE OPC DRUM UNIT INTEGRATED.  THE DRUM UNIT IS A SEPARATE, REPLACEABLE, MAINTENANCE ITEM.

NOTE:  These cartridges are universal cartridges that fit in a variety of Dell and Xerox printers but use different chips.  The OEM versions of these cartridges have different fins on the cartridge to fit in certain printers; these fins are removed on the remanufactured cartridges so they will differ in appearance from the OEMs.

Not Recognizing

Verify you have the correct cartridges for your specific model printer.

This cartridge uses a RF or radio frequency sensor chip that’s located inside the round protrusion on the back side of the toner tube. This chip does not make physical contact with the printer but rather sits in a specific position to be picked up by the printer’s sensor. Make sure that the cartridge is properly inserted and locks into place to ensure the chip is in the correct position. If the problem persists it is most likely an issue with the chip on the cartridge.

Make sure the correct cartridge is being installed into the correct slot.  This is especially important with these cartridges as the remanufactured ones have fins found on the OEMs removed to allow them to be universal.  With these fins removed it is possible to fit the wrong color into the wrong color slot as well as fit the cartridge in backwards.  The color order from top to bottom facing the front of the printer is Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow.

It is important that the cartridge is locked into place.  Grip the levers at each end of the toner cartridge, the push down firmly to rotate the levers forward.

Print Quality Issues

Ghosting, streaking, lines, and repeating image defects will be an issue with the drum unit.  The drum unit is a separate maintenance item that will need to be replaced, usually after 4-6 toner changes.  We sell a replacement OEM drum unit.

There’s a pull tape seal on the cartridge which must be removed.  It is important that the pull tape seal is fully removed.  If the cartridge is printing blank pages then the pull tape seal probably hasn’t been removed or has broken off inside the cartridge while being removed.

Gently shake the cartridge to distribute the toner evenly.
